Debt Collection Services – Overberg District Municipality

Quotations are hereby invited for the following: Provision of service provider specialized in debt collection services. Specifications: – Recovery of all outstanding debt owing to the Municipality through specialized debt collection attorneys or registered debt collectors with the use of a dedicated debtors management system; – Maximize the collection of outstanding debt on all handed over accounts on the debtor’s book for Overberg District Municipality. Emphasis will be to aggressively utilize specialist skills, to collect handed over outstanding amounts due to the municipality; – The provision of the specialized debt collection and related support services to the municipality, and its support structures, as and when required, for a period of 11 months, effective from the date of award; – There will be one point of entry for this contract, and that will be through the office of the Senior Manager: Finance; – The service provider should be in the capacity to manage the volume of work that the municipality may instruct them at any relevant point in time for the debtor’s book aged in line with the credit control policy as and when amended by the municipality; – The service provider must capture updated customer information or information requirements and return to the municipality (Monthly) for all handed over accounts; – The service provider must continuously perform information purification by using multiple data sources that will be used to update customer information; – The service provider must provide statistics of successful and unsuccessful notifications to customers (MMS/SMS/e-mail/Post/ Registered letters and any other form of correspondence.
