Quotations are hereby invited for the appointment of a panel of debt collectors to institute recovery proceedings for the recovery of outstanding amounts owed to Komatiland Forests Soc Ltd (KLF) for a period of five (05) years. Scope of work: – It is against the foregoing background that KLF requires the services of debt collectors to recover these funds. The debt collectors should have a firm grasp of commercial law knowledge and experience in the law of contract; with minimum recovery experience of 5 years. – The company must be registered with The Council of the Debt Collectors: The Act provides for the exercise of control over the occupation of debt collectors and legalizes the recovery of fees or remuneration by registered debt collectors. The overall goal with the Act is to transform the debt collection system in South Africa by monitoring the conduct and professionalism of debt collectors and promoting a culture of good governance within the profession, thus contributing to protecting the public at large, as well as creditors. The Council for Debt Collectors exercise control over the occupation of debt collectors. – The reimbursement will be based on the provision of recovery of debt at an appropriate approved upon percentage. – The panel will be appointed for 5 years.

Service providers must complete in full the RFQ document and ensure that quotation is on the company letterhead. Late and incomplete submissions will not be accepted.
RFQ validity period: 60 days (commencing from the RFQ Closing Date). Conditions of the RFQ: • Quotations must be e-mailed to the address provided herein All service providers must submit their B-BBEE Verification Certificates from Verification Agencies accredited by the South African Accreditation System (SANAS) OR an EME/ QSE sworn affidavit signed by the EME representative and attested by a Commissioner of Oaths ( this will not be used for evaluation purposes). • Evaluation criteria will be based on capacity and having quoted the lowest acceptable price. • Any bidder who has reasons to believe that the RFQ specification is based on a specific brand must inform SAFCOL before RFQ closing date. • All SBD documents must be always signed and sent back with the quotation.
